Intensive Classes

Online Intensive Classes

The next Online Comedy Intensive is February 1st.

Sundays: 9:30 AM-1:30 PM PST

Recommended by agents, managers and casting directors! Based on Sedita’s international bestselling book, The Eight Characters of Comedy: A Guide to Sitcom Acting and Writing (which has been translated into different languages), this specially designed “Sitcom Bootcamp” teaches actors The Sedita Method, which combines comedic technique with character work. It is the industry standard for sitcom acting, comedic branding and marketing yourself in this competitive industry.

Format

In the Online One-Day Comedy Intensive, actors work continuously throughout class learning how to access and ignite their “funny gene,” breakdown comedic beats in sitcom scripts, identify different types of jokes and deliver jokes with comedic precision. And, most importantly, actors are introduced to Scott’s The Eight Characters of Comedy, thereby helping them find their comedic niche, essential for marketing yourself (i.e. headshots, self-tapes, agent/manager meetings).

Drama Classes

Online Drama Classes

(Ages 16 & Up)

The next Online Audition Technique cycle begins on January 26th.

Mondays: 4:00 PM-6:30 PM PST

This Dramatic Intensive is a fast-paced, dynamic class which prepares the actor for “self-tapes,” auditions, and booking the job! In this class, actors learn how to integrate their own essence into every character whether it’s a Co-Star, Guest Star, or Series Regular. Also, actors learn how to create a successful self-tape, take “adjustments”, and overcome obstacles and fears in their craft and career.

Format

Each week, actors are assigned roles and emailed audition sides from various dramatic TV & film genres (procedural, medical, supernatural, etc.). Actors are then required to use Scott Sedita’s script analysis technique, W.O.F.R.A.I.M. (Wants, Obstacles, Feelings, Relationships, As-Ifs, Intentions, Moments Before) and prepare their audition sides for that week’s class.

Actors work at least twice a class, auditioning on Zoom with a reader and receiving coaching, adjustments, feedback and critique from the teacher. This class continues to empower the actor by giving them the knowledge to successfully market themselves in today’s competitive industry.

Eight-week cycle = $660
Payment Plan: At least half ($330) is due before the first day of class. The remaining balance ($330) is due by the third class.
