The next Weekend Comedy Intensive is February 11 & 12.

Saturdays & Sundays: 9:30 AM-12:30 PM PST

Recommended by agents, managers and casting directors! Based on Sedita’s international bestselling book, The Eight Characters of Comedy: A Guide to Sitcom Acting and Writing (which has been translated into different languages), this specially designed “Sitcom Bootcamp” teaches actors The Sedita Method, which combines comedic technique with character work. It is the industry standard for sitcom acting, comedic branding and marketing yourself in this competitive industry.

The Online Two-Day Comedy Intensive lays the foundation for the work that lies ahead and is a prerequisite to joining our Online Sitcom Acting Technique class.

Format

In the Online Two-Day Comedy Intensive, actors work continuously throughout class learning how to access and ignite their “funny gene,” breakdown comedic beats in sitcom scripts, identify different types of jokes and deliver jokes with comedic precision. And, most importantly, actors are introduced to Scott’s The Eight Characters of Comedy, thereby helping them find their comedic niche, essential for marketing yourself (i.e. headshots, self-tapes, agent/manager meetings).
